Knowledge, experience, trust, and a genuine love of people and relationships, both in business and personally, are Pablo’s strengths!!
Paul “Pablo” Hopfenbeck has been the Project Manager at Sweetwater since 2008 and was a Job Supervisor during Sweetwater’s construction in 2006-2007. Pablo’s unique and intimate history at Sweetwater offers an opportunity for the homebuyer to work with an agent with a comprehensive background of construction and knowledge of the local housing market-especially at Sweetwater.
Born and raised in the southwest, Pablo spent his early years in New Mexico, Texas, and Arizona, hence “Pablo”!
He grew up in Boise, attended Bishop Kelly High, and caught the Salmon River Fever. A Lead Guide at 18 on the Main Salmon, Middle Fork, and the Snake though Hell’s Canyon, it was an easy transition to jet boat pilot, licensed fishing and big game guide and packer, at Shepp Ranch. And, it was the perfect way to finance his education at Boise State University.
Pablo moved to the Wood River Valley in 1984, and raised his two boys, Carson and Curtis.
As an avid outdoorsman, Pablo’s passions include fly fishing (more like an addiction), rafting, steelhead fishing from his drift boat, bird hunting over his golden retriever, Gus, camping, back packing, hiking, cooking and bbq’ing! His newest passion is Nordic skiing-both classic and skate-and after learning to skate ski less than a month prior, finished his first Boulder Mountain Tour in 2019!
If there is anything that is near and dear to his heart, it is wild salmon and steelhead recovery. As an advocate he spent 15 years on the Board of Directors of Idaho Steelhead and Salmon Unlimited and 7 years as the group’s president.
But it isn’t just wild places, wild rivers, and wild fish that have created inspiration for him. His love of community, especially his home town and its residents, are a huge priority. And as a result of that, Pablo is serving his second term as a commissioner on the Bellevue Planning and Zoning Commission.
